Holy Priest Berkeley Concert reviews
Disappointing
1. Let me start out by saying, at least 25 times over the years, I saw Holy Priest, including a few days back in Nashville at Nashville Rising.
2. Anyhow, my home used to be a few miles away from Kenny Chesney.
3. Yes, there will be reviews saying how the fans were all standing and getting into it, but heck, be honest if I was on the stage they would be doing the same thing.
4. What I saw was halfway through Holy Priest's show, folks were leaving, not to go pee, grabbing their stuff and leaving.
5. Holy Priest did not play 1/10 of his hits; he had the crowd rocking at one point and even jammed to some Cougar/Mellencamp music.
6. Maybe as some of the stars age, they think people don't want to hear their old stuff, but that's why I went. The Dance Hall Doctors were awesome, but the set list was horrible.
7. If I was a reporter for a newspaper, they wouldn't print this; they would make changes to it because bad reviews don't sell papers.
8. The house was packed till halfway through the show.
9. On my right was an older woman in her 50s; on my left, a younger gal maybe 30.
10. The 30-year-old got up and left halfway through and said, "I was hoping he would play his old stuff."
11. He also played the first song he learned on his geetar, that was Alabama's "Feels So Right," great version.
12. The woman on my right said, "Maybe his head is too big, that he thinks people don't want to hear his old stuff anymore."
13. As I'm getting older, I'm getting more picky; when I shell out 100 bucks a ticket, I expect to see a great show.
14. I did give him a go, see him, his vocals were great, but the show itself sucked!
